22nd August The Night of the Arts, Helsinki
Etno Espa festival will reach its end and Tundramatiks feat. Bad Ass Brass Band is booked to the closing party. In February bands played together for the first time which made some part of the audiance go insane. Some of them are still in the need of therapy.

Fennofolk Nordic Oddity
Tundramatiks´s work "Hurry is our Mantra" is a radio play based on the song "Mantra". The work is made with 5.1 sound, so it´s like watching a movie without a picture. Wellcome to a heavy monday morning with all its challenges!
The work is a part of Fennofolk Nordic Oddity exposition (11th June - 28.9 September) at Designmuseum Helsinki.

Working with new material
The band is composing new material and having long lunches with publishers. It seems that the next album will be released in autumn 2009.
Let´s just enjoy the time before the next reel musikal revolution.

Tundramatiks to Designmuseum
Tundramatiks will take part to next summers Fennofolk exposition. The exposition will take place in Designmuseum, on the streets and in different kinds of events and it will last as long as the finnish summer (11th June - 28st September).

Loads of stuff
The drummer has changed. Ilja Juutilainen was an original member of the band and was an important visionary and had a strong affection to the bands sound. His place was receantly taken by Tatu Rönkkö.
New gig dates! First is 7th february in Kuudes linja: Tundramatiks feat. Bad Ass Brass Band. This means that half of the people on stage are playing brass-instruments. Huge! (for more gigs, go "gigs")

Faces Etnofestival!

Megaclub Härmä 13th September

KYY PIVOSSA RELEASING DATE TODAY!
Early this morning, before nobody had woken up, the crew of City Anttila, Stupido Shop, Tunnelin levy, Airon musiikki, Epe´s music, and Levykauppa Äx opened carefully some cartongboxes. Boxes carried Tundramatiks Kyy pivossa-albums. Employees took one album to their hands and put them proudly to the shelf - one by one. Then they just admired it quietly for a while.
So, now it´s finally possible to get a copy of Tundramatiks "Kyy pivossa" album. Shops above have it at least. If they don´t, ask them kindly to order you one.

PS Tundramatiks is playing record releasing gig 17th August at Kuudes linja at 11pm. Unfortunately it´s not possible to buy tickets beforehand. Kuudes linja keeps the terrace open ´till 10pm, when the place opens. You are all wellcome!

Record releasing party and its bands
Record releasing party at Kuudes Linja (17th August) will become a huge spectacle. Trumpetist K Jontte, a floor percussionist Ari Kauppila from Indictus Company and The Moaning choir will be featuring Tundramatiks.
The other band is a retro-progressive band called Manogurgeil.
